Frequently Asked Questions

About the Artworks

Q: Are all artworks truly one of a kind?
Yes. Every piece is handcrafted by Yuriko Yuco Yoshikawa using traditional Japanese techniques — Shibori dyeing, Washi ink painting, and Copper Etching. No two works are ever the same.

Q: Does each artwork come with a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes. Every artwork is accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity (COA), which includes the title, year, materials, size, and the artist's signature. The COA serves as official documentation for provenance, resale, insurance, and inheritance purposes.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Do you ship internationally?
Yes. International orders are shipped via DHL or EMS. Domestic orders within Japan are shipped via Yamato Transport or Japan Post. All shipments include a tracking number.

Q: How long does delivery take?
Orders are prepared and shipped as soon as they are ready after order confirmation. Delivery times vary by destination.

Q: Is shipping free?
Yes. Free worldwide shipping is included on all orders.

Q: Who is responsible for customs duties and taxes?
Import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges vary by country and are not included in the purchase price.

Payment

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) and PayPal. Payment is confirmed at the time of order.

Q: In what currency are prices displayed?
Prices are displayed in Japanese Yen (JPY). Your bank or payment provider may apply a currency conversion rate.

Returns & Refunds

Q: Can I return or exchange an artwork?
As each piece is a unique, handcrafted one-of-a-kind work, we do not accept returns or exchanges under any circumstances. All sales are final.

Q: What if my artwork arrives damaged?
In the rare event of damage or loss during shipping, please contact us within 7 days of the delivery date via the contact form with your order number and photographic or video evidence of the damage. We will work with you and the carrier to find an appropriate resolution. Claims submitted after 7 days cannot be accepted.

Q: Does the right of withdrawal apply? (EU customers)
Under EU Consumer Law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to our artworks, as each piece is a unique, handmade, one-of-a-kind work that cannot be resold. All sales are final.

Certificate of Authenticity

Q: What is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)?
A COA is a hand-signed document enclosed with every artwork, certifying that the piece is an original, one-of-a-kind work by Yuriko Yuco Yoshikawa. It includes the title, year, materials, size, and the artist's signature. It is useful for provenance, resale, insurance claims, and estate planning.
